Ted Rock, Chief Operating Officer
Ted Rock has an extensive twenty-year background in operations. After serving for one year as vice president of global supply chain, Ted was appointed as Neways’ vice president of operations in March 2011. Serving as chief operations officer at previous companies, Ted oversaw all operational activities and led the operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and other functional operating groups. Ted has worked with public companies, privately held companies, and companies owned by private-equity entities, including companies in the nutritional-supplement industry. As COO he played an integral role in the financial turnaround of these organizations and assisted in developing and implementing their growth strategies. Ted earned his bachelor’s degree in business management at the University of California..
Eddie Mendivil, Vice President of Global Quality
Eddie is responsible for developing policy, strategy, and oversight for executing quality systems in 33 countries. He has 21 years of experience in the quality management field and six years as an executive in the dietary supplement, personal care, and OTC industries. Prior to joining Neways, Inc. he worked as Director of Quality for Nature’s Way, Inc., where he was directly involved in the strategic development of the company’s quality systems, research and development processes, and regulatory compliance program. Eddie holds a bachelor of science from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Utah.
Keith Mecham, Director of Salem Operations
Keith oversees the manufacturing operation at the Neways, Inc. Salem, Utah, plant. He has over 12 years of experience in the personal care industry, having worked in engineering, maintenance, and currently in a manufacturing operations role. He is responsible for leading a diverse team of managers with the overall goal of maintaining a competitive and dynamic manufacturing plant for Neways, Inc. Keith obtained a bachelor of science in business management from Utah Valley University.
Justin Ames, Director of Contract Manufacturing
Justin is responsible for leading all commercial and operational activities for the Neways Inc. custom manufacturing business, including overseeing of sales, business development, product development, marketing, customer service, operations, and pricing. He has worked for Neways, Inc. since 2003 in a variety of operational management positions on a European and global scale. Justin has over 10 years of experience in helping build new business ventures across a wide variety of industries. He obtained a B.S. in business management with an emphasis in entrepreneurship from Brigham Young University.
Jamie Anderson, Director of Personal Care Product Research
Jamie Anderson oversees new product development in the personal care and household product categories. His primary goal is to strategically facilitate the ongoing evolution of products, focusing on optimized efficacy while maintaining compliance to consumer safety. Jamie has several years of product development experience in the network marketing and contract manufacturing arenas. A biochemist by education, Jamie is also a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.
Susan Dutson, Director of Analytical Sciences
Susan oversees operations of the Neways, Inc. analytical and microbiological laboratories for the testing of products that are produced onsite and at other facilities. Her main goal is to assure that the science department is able to meet the company’s strategic quality and innovation goals. She is also responsible for compliance with GMPs, FDA, TGA, CTFA, and international regulations that pertain to products. Susan earned her bachelor and master degrees in organic chemistry at Texas Woman’s University.
Janet Myers, B.S., NPDP, PMP, Strategic Manager, Scientific Affairs
Janet oversees the Neways, Inc. Scientific Affairs Department, where she coordinates the new product development process and scientific documentation. She has bachelor degrees in microbiology and chemistry, and she is a certified new product development professional and project management professional. Janet has 15-plus years of experience in scientific disciplines, including working in the areas of medical microbiology and environmental waste cleanup. She has been honored by the National Microbiology Academy’s western division and is a member of numerous professional groups.
